If you suffer from heartburn or indigestion on a regular basis, the first measure is to consult your doctor. Meantime there are many factors on which you can act every day to help preventing the apparition of the symptoms :

  • Take your time to eat and do it in a quiet place. Avoid eating late in the evening, ideally eat 2 to 3 hours before going to bed. Avoid the food or liquid that can aggravate the symptoms.
  • Adopt healthy diet to help maintain an ideal body weight.
  • Resist temptations : if you are smoking, try to reduce or better stop smoking.
  • Manage your stress level.
